Alpha's Second Chance

Chapter 0285

MADELEINE

I had gotten a short nap when I woke up, but I felt more awake now. So I stood upnoveldrama

and walked downstairs to get something to drink. Mom was there, but Blaise was nowhere to be seen. Maybe he was in his room or had gone for a walk.

"Hey, mom," I say, hugging her, and she hugs me back.

"Hey, sweetheart. The doctor's assistant is up in Juliette's room. Just keeping track of how she was doing after the travel and all that." Mom said, and I smiled.

Nicely done, Gina, I am thinking to myself. To say it is to check up on Juliette so no one gets suspicious.

"That is nice of her. I will go up there and see what she says." I say and smile.

"Okay. Just dong disturb her work." Mom says.

"I won't, I promise," I say and walk upstairs.

I carefully open the door and see Gina jumping from the bed. But she relaxes when she sees it is me and sits down next to Juliette again. I saw the change as soon she sat next to her. For a second, her eyes showed signs of life again.

"She can feel you," I say.

"I think so. She looks less like a zombie right now." Gina says as she softly caresses Juliette's hair.

I sit down next to them, and I see how Juliette's eyes look more and more like themselves as time goes. Gina carefully caressed her face, and I was surprised when a small smile showed on Juliette's face.

"It is working," I whisper as I still see Juliette look more and more awake.

I was shocked when she turned her head towards the sound of my voice. But I knew one thing, this was because of Gina.

"Don't stop, please." I bag her, and she doesn't.

She leans her head down to Juliette, resting her forehead on hers, and whispers so low I can barely hear her, but I did hear.

"I know you are in pain, and I know the pain you feel. My pain never disappeared, not before I met you. I know your pain is bigger than mine because you lost more than I did. But I promise I will always be by your side and not leave you for many, many years. Juliette, come back to me, please. I need you." Gina whispers softly, and I see a tear leave her eyes.

We have been quiet for a long time after that and I am not sure what to say. But then the most incredible thing happens. Juliette slowly lifted a hand up to Gina's head and caressed her cheek.

I fought to keep my gasp in, not wanting to disturb them.

"You are awake," Gina whispered. And Juliette smiled at her. Trying to speak.

"It is okay, and you don't have to speak right now. I know it is hard after so long." Gina says.

"I felt you close yesterday." Juliette's beautiful but weak voice whispers.

I feel so emotional right now, and I am afraid that Noah will feel it and come running. So I try to calm it down, but it is hard.

"I was here, overwhelmed when I felt the matebond, sad for you. And afraid that you will never accept me because of my past." Gina whispers, but Juliette just smiles.

"I already know your past, and my wolf kept me in a coma state to protect me. But when she felt you and Kara, she talked to her. Kara told her about you and my now sister mate but also showed from memory that my sister doesn't hold a grudge. That you are a good person. I accepted before I woke up, Gina." Juliette says, and a small sobbing comes from Gina.

"I, Juliette Lune, oldest daughter of Alpha Louis Lune, accept you, Gina Connor,

as my second chance mate," Juliette said and surprised us.

"Are you sure?" Gina asks.

"Yes, I trust the moon goodness decision," Juliette says. Her voice was getting stronger bit by bit.

"I never doubted my decision. I, Gina Connor, Accept you, Juliette Lune, as my second chance mate." Gina says, half whispering.

I could physically see a bond form and get stronger, linking them together. Then it

became invisible, but I knew it was there just by looking at Gina and Juliette.

The door opened, and then the gasp and sobbing told me it was Mom.

"Juliette?" Mom whispered

"It is me, Mom," Juliette says, and Mom lets out a small sob and cry of surprise but also happiness.

I leave the room, leaving them and

Mom alone, and walk outside the house and sit down. After six longe months, my sister is finally awake. And the future looks brighter for her thant did just a few days ago.

As I sit here I see Noah walking towards me, and I know what I want to do in that moment.
