Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 1473

His young widow had openly gotten into a relationship and married her beloved man. She had never had the thought of selling herself out! The woman could never be compared to Waverly!

"Let's go!"

Turning around to pull Waverly into his arms, not only were Wyatt's movements gentle, but his voice was also soft to the extreme. The extreme protective treatment shown towards Waverly was as though the most fragile and precious treasure was right before him, to the point where his raised voice might frighten her off.

It was the first time Waverly saw the malicious side of Wyatt. At the same time, she felt deeply protected and doted on. The scene before her rendered her confused, but it did not stop her from looking at Wyatt with admiration brimming in

her eyes.

Unfortunately, the night was destined not to be peaceful. One storm came

charging for them after the other. Just as the two walked a few steps forward, a violent male voice bellowed from afar, "Wyatt!"

As soon as he turned around, water came splashing at them. Before Wyatt could react, Waverly who had kept a keen eye out for their surroundings had shielded him and instinctively gave him a push. "Careful! Ah..."

She didn't know what was stored in the man's bottle, but she had no time to ponder on it. Turning around to face Wyatt, Waverly instinctively blocked the attack with her back, screeching as she felt a chill down her neck.

"Waverly!"

Returning to his senses, Wyatt pushed her behind him as he turned around to block her way. Stretching out, he hurriedly wiped her clean. "Does it hurt? Do you feel anything abnormal?"

Waverly's hair was damp as well. Shrinking her neck, she shook her head in response!

Was it wine? Ordinary red wine?

Seeing her white dress and neck in a mess, Wyatt wiped her face and was relieved seeing that it wasn't corrosive liquid.

The man who had been some distance away stomped over carrying two empty wine glasses in hand. Witnessing the scene, he flung the glasses onto the ground, and with a "bang", the water splashed. Waverly couldn't hold herself back from shuddering.

Exerting more force on his arms gripping her shoulder, Wyatt side-glanced the man from the corner of his eyes before comforting Waverly in a low voice, "It's fine. Don't be afraid!"

Slowly getting to his feet as he turned around, Wyatt locked his penetrating glare on the man before him. "Have you had enough? Quill, did you take the wrong medicine?"

"You're the one I'm looking for!"

Raising his hand, Quill Lewis swung a punch forward. Right then, Wyatt was prepared as he raised his hand to block the attack and pushed Quill out with ease. "Quill! I'm not interested in making a fool of myself! Let me warn you, I'm in a bad mood today. You'd better not mess with me!"

"You know you' re making a fool out of yourself, don't you? Wyatt, how can you be this shameless? Not only do you not mind keeping a young widow by your side, but you' re also here auctioning for such a lady. How can you let Raynee down by surrounding yourself with so many women? You' re a b*stard! Ordinary women are found everywhere. What did Raynee do for you to humiliate her in such a manner? This is no different from insulting her!"

Quill's face was filled with indignation.

With a cold expression on his face, Wyatt's face darkened. He had wanted to leave the place and avoid the attention as he did not want Waverly to be noticed and become the target of public criticism. He had tried his best to protect her, but somehow, there were surprises that caused the two of them to be the focus of attention and called Waverly unpleasant names.

Wyatt didn't have to turn around to tell what a terrible expression Waverly had on her face, but as the tension intensified, Wyatt increasingly favored Waverly. Right then, the slight trace of guilt he felt towards Raynee disappeared without a trace. "Quill, keep your mouth clean! You like Raynee, so it's up to you how you decide to protect her, but you'd better not try to come to random conclusions with your evil thoughts! I broke up with Raynee! I'm unmarried, and I've set my eyes on a young widow. It's none of your business."

"What?"

With an exclamation, Quill's eyes widened in disbelief. "Wyatt, have you gone mad? How could you say such a thing to protect this woman?"

He had just called Raynee!

"Is Wyatt bewitched? How could he make up such a lie?" At the thought of how his good intentions had been misunderstood, Quill fumed. Immediately after, he picked up his phone and dialed Raynee's number, threatening, "Okay, I'll call Raynee right now. Let's see how you'll explain..."

Pissed, Quill thought that Wyatt would definitely stop him, but to his surprise, Wyatt didn't budge an inch although the phone was ringing. Quill was left stunned. "Does he think I'm fooling him?"

As he thought so, Quill raised his hand to show Wyatt his phone screen.

Wyatt remained unwavering without lifting an eyebrow.

As a result of their previous conflict, Raynee didn't pick up the call even if he dialed her number several times in succession.

Murmurs came from around him, people were watching as he made a fool of himself!

Quill's rage intensified. "How unlucky! I can't do anything if Raynee doesn't want to pick up the phone." Quill's face flushed from embarrassment sensing how he was poking his nose in their business. After he irritatedly hung up the phone. Quill warned, purple with rage, "Wyatt, you can't do this to Raynee!"

"Don't you think you' re too much of a busybody?"

In an awful mood, Wyatt's tone was unfriendly as he hissed under his breath. "A

night of trouble, yet all those involved are irrelevant and nobodies!"

Right then, Wyatt's thoughts had completely been devoured by the rebellion and rage in his heart that could not be eradicated. The more people tried to stop him, the more obstinate he grew. His whole heart leaned towards the bullied and wronged Waverly. That was why from beginning to end, he had always been protecting Waverly behind his back, stealing a glance at her from time to time: "I don't understand why it is so hard for me to be with a woman I set my eyes on? Why does everyone want to interfere?!" noveldrama

He knew nothing about how Quill had come all the way looking for Wyatt to seek justice on his own initiative. As such, he thought that Raynee was fooling him around in their relationship and had such tricks up her sleeves. In addition, had been spoiling Raynee like a

princess for years, tolerating het mo

willfulness, but he had always felt like a sideman in their relationship. Not to mention how they seldom got together throughout the years, he had never seemed to enjoy the warmth of feelings in a relationship. Right then, the dissatisfaction accumulated towards Raynee over the years exploded, to the point where he developed a sense of rebellion. Even if he fell for another woman and was the traitor in their relationship, so what?

"It's none of your business. Don't blame me for not showing mercy if you

continue!"

Wyatt's brows knotted as he turned around and held Waverly in his arms once more. "Let's go!"

As soon as they stepped forward, Quill rushed up with anger, "You can't leave! I'd

like to see what little vixen got you fascinated like that!"

Quill couldn't understand human language, could he?

Reaching out, Quill shifted his gaze to the figure behind Wyatt. "Hey, are you deaf? Say something! This man has a girlfriend he has been dating for five years! How could you be this shameless? One should never interfere in a relationship and destroy a family. Aren't you afraid of karma?"

With a ghastly pale face, Waverly raised her head all of a sudden, her eyebrows furrowed into a tight frown without realizing it.

In the midst of his anger, Quill had never taken a proper look at Waverly. As he looked into the pair of aggrieved watery eyes, he was instantly stunned. "What a beautiful woman!" He exclaimed in his heart.

She had a feminine charm, her aura unexpectedly clean. It was not the kind of coquettish woman he had imagined with heavy makeup covering her face, like that of the scent of a sl*t several meters away. The moment he met her gaze, the depths of his heart couldn't help surging with the urge to protect her and smooth the devastating frown between her brows...

In that instant, he halted in his tracks and left his mouth wide open. For some

reason, a trace of guilt rose in his heart as he wished to take back his words. A sharp pang of guilt struck him, leading to him feeling as though he had attacked her just because she was weak. Quill was shocked by the sudden thought. What the hell?

She was truly a demoness. How could he fall for her charm and be possessed as

well?

Before he could come to himself, a heavy punch landed on his face, pushing him three steps away. "Quill! I warned you! If you don't keep your mouth shut and continue blabbering nonsense, I will not just punch you twice! You'd better not offend her again!"

Pointing at him, Wyatt gnashed his teeth in anger. "You're a man. Don't try to find fault with a woman!"

The implication was that Quill should target Wyatt instead of aiming at a weak woman. What Quill was doing was no different from shrews who knew nothing but to rip off a mistress' clothes to vent their anger!

Turning around, Wyatt directly took off his suit jacket and wrapped it around Waverly before he proceeded to tighten the collar. Right then, he came straight forward to pull her into his arms. "I'll marry her! No one else! Keep it in mind!"

With that, Wyatt guarded Waverly and walked out of the door. The pair of eyes flared with passion from behind him, and the commotion followed... Along the way, neither of them spoke a word. Wyatt drove with his face gloomy. Waverly could vaguely sense him being in a terrible mood. Was it the numerous accidents that had taken place that night, or the last man, or the auctioned woman both of them had never met, or for some reason that set the embers in his heart ablaze? Waverly had no idea. Perhaps everything added fuel to his rage. The spirits in the car were very low. Even if she could not wait to go home, Waverly did not make a sound. The car circled around twice before pulling to a stop in front of a luxury store that had yet closed for the day. Although the lights in the store were on, it was obvious that there weren't any customers. Most of the remaining shop assistants were tidying up.

Waverly was dragged out of the car before the check of 300,000 dollars turned into a small bright yellow backpack, followed by another black soft coat draped around her shoulders. After a while, the tiny bag worth millions was stuffed into her hand From beginning to end, Wyatt did not say a word. When he left, he grabbed her wrist without a word. The attendants behind them were so enthusiastic as though they could be set on fire right on the spot. "Thank

you for visiting the store. Looking forward to your next visit!"

Was he venting his anger by spending money or shopping? Or was he trying to

express something?
