Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 1479

"You don't have to carry so many assets over!" It was an unnecessary move.

"It's always wise to be prepared. Plus, I've recently grown fond of painting!"

Who knew if he would change his mind and attend another meeting? The most important thing was that she wanted to see if there was any chance for her to frame the paintings since she was quite satisfied with some of them. Stuffing the items into his hands, Victoria took his arm.

"Hubby, I* ve just realized that there is bitterness behind your seemingly glamorous life..."

In addition to attending meetings and listening to his subordinates reporting their work progress, he had to often deal with all kinds of emergencies, in some cases where he would return to work after handling it all. "If s a boring and tiring life." It was the thought that popped up in Victoria's mind after following him around for business trips. All of a sudden, she felt that the rumors circulating him were not the slightest true. Others must be thinking too highly of him when they claimed him to change female companions a few times a week judging from his busy and hectic schedule.

She stayed by his side all day long, but the truth was, there wasn't much chance for them to enjoy a proper meal together. Worst case scenario was when they couldn't have a proper talk throughout the day, but as long as she could stare at him and sense his presence, it was her satisfaction.

Seeing her brightening up, Trevor dotingly pinched her nose, his eyes filled with endless warmth. "It's good that you know! So in the future, you must be more diligent in energizing me up!"

With a meaningful grin, he reached out to pat her on the butt.

Victoria burst out snickering.

Nodding, Victoria obediently went along with him as they walked side by side, "Well, I'm pretty confident in knowing how I can make sure you 'cultivate and store your strength'. Don't worry! I'll make sure to always pay attention to your teachings!"

With another ambiguous pat on her, they walked out of the door with wide grins spread across their faces. Behind them, their attendants carried a lot of boxes into the car.

Going through a bumpy road, they arrived at a stylish club in the suburbs. The longer they walked, the narrower the road was. The surrounding high mountains were steep as if they had stepped into a canyon. They could only hear the wind whistling during the season. If it weren't for Trevor being by her side, Victoria would have long submitted to the urge to flee.

Who would build a club in such a place? Judging from the road leading to the club, did they want the visitors to locate the place or not?

Along the way, Victoria's curious eyes studied her surroundings with the curiosity in her heart written all over face. When the car pulled to a halt, Trevor explained by saying. "This is Sofare Entertainment's private club. It's not open to the public. As for why we chose to build it here, the land is vast and abundant with resources, not to mention how the place is serene. It's especially used to entertain important guests who come from afar or with special needs! We won't visit the club if it's unnecessary!"

"Entertain?" Was it like how female celebrities gained fame?

Since Victoria was in the design industry, she had to deal with members of the circle. As such, she had heard of a popular saying circulating the industry.

"There isn't anyone who can't gain fame, only those who can't bear to work hard!"

In other words, a woman could gain fame and wealth if she gave it her all. She had personally come across all sorts of ugly fights between famous stars. Most of the time, they were merely fighting for a man. To be exact, a cash cow.

Those men were a shameless bunch. Upon witnessing such a scene, not only would they not stop the fight, but they would also feel proud of themselves.

Trevor nodded with a smile and did not deny her words. He raised his hand to stroke her beautiful hair, saying, "For now, they're not coming for women's beauty!"

"Huh? Not women? Could it possibly be men?"

Once the thought passed through her mind, Victoria was ashamed by her malicious thoughts. They could also be coming for wealth or something else, couldn't they?

Embarrassed, she bit her lower lip. Before Victoria could take back her words, she was shocked to see Trevor nodding. "If I don't, why would I have the guts to bring you, a little beauty, over?"

Right that moment, she was at a loss for words.

They entered the club and changed into professional horse-riding clothes. Trevor first took Victoria on a horseback ride two laps around the club. Urging the horse to gallop as she screamed, Victoria was thrilled.

"Hubby, let me ride the horse by myself!"

What a wonderful feeling!

Trevor put his arms around the rope without giving into her request. "No way!

Horses are animals. Their emotions are unstable. Our bones are fragile in winter.

If

f you fall, it'll be troublesome. Behave!"

"Fine, then take me on another lap!"

Anxious, Victoria could only seek for the second best, while Trevor was naturally willing to be at her service.

On the racecourse, they circled the field. As soon as she raised her gaze, Victoria spotted two familiar figures. Turning around to glance at Trevor, she tugged at his clothes.

"Hubby, is that Mr. Johnson and Waverly?"

Lifting his head, a beautiful figure dressed in a beige outfit running entered his sight. Behind her was a figure in a suit. The two fooled and messed around with each other...

As they could not hear each other from a distance, Trevor could only stare at them from afar. "It seems so!"

Why did he come over?

"Hold on tight!"

The two hurried over to greet them.

Holding a notebook in hand, Waverly was at the verge of going mad. She was out

to handle business, but was stopped by Wyatt halfway through the journey and was led to the d*mned place.

"Waverly, having fun for just a while won't take up too much time. At most, I'll be responsible for your account, can't I?"

Pulling her along, Wyatt was clingy. It was a tough opportunity to ask the beauty out. Both of them were usually busy and could not take time off. He had always wanted to have dinner with her, but she would always come up with all kinds of

excuses.

He had never expected to meet her on the way to the club. Seeing her carrying a notebook to audit the factory's financial accounts, he used carpooling as an excuse to get her tag along to the club. He went to the extent of changing the original meeting location and informing Seth to pick his friends up.

"Liar, how is this carpooling when this isn't the right path?! We' re clearly getting further away from the factory!"

He was making life difficult for her!

Along the way, he didn't stop comforting her about how close the factory was to the club, but the twists and turns of the journey caused her to end up all giddy- headed. When she got off the car, she realized she was led off the path. "Wyatt, hurry up and send me back! Or I'll be reprimanded by the supervisor..."

"How dare he? Who has the guts to reprimand my Waverly? I'll skin him!" Teasing her, Wyatt reached out to pull her hand.

Waverly rolled her eyes and shook his hands off with a slap. "Do you think the company is run by your family?"

She, however, didn't have a car with her. If he didn't send her back, she would never be able to leave. Turning around, Waverly reached into his pocket. "Where's the car key? Give it to me! Since you won't leave, I'm leaving!" "Hurry up and give it to me!"

Circling Wyatt as Waverly made a fuss, Trevor came over with Victoria on a horse.

He pulled the reins before the two exchanged glances and smiled at the same

time.

"Mr. Johnson, what a coincidence!"

Victoria took the lead to speak, but her meaningful eyes first fell on Waverly who was clinging to Wyatt.

After hopping off the horse, Trevor carried Victoria down as he asked, "Wyatt, why are you here as well?"

As soon as she saw the two of them, Waverly speedily shifted away from Wyatt. "Mr. Trevor? Victoria?"

Her face glowed with a faint blush after greeting both of them. What a coincidence!

Right then as she saw both of them

safe and sound, Waverly was reminded of the incident that had happened a few days ago. With a slight gasp, she came to realize she had yet made a phone call to ask about how they were doing. It was such a rare opportunity. Holding Victoria's hand, Waverly was not as desperate to leave as she had been.

"I should be the one asking you the question."

Why did he bring Victoria over?

After handing the horse over to the keeper, Trevor began to say.

"Mr. McGowan introduced me to a boss who wants to invest in a large- scale historical drama by saying how he plans to invest one billion

dollars into creating av cel

I'm here to meet him! I've never heard of the Mr. Harris Mr. McGowan referred to. All I know is that he seemed to used to be a

driver for a mayor. He has developed his connections in the past two years. I think he's a little too arrogant, isn't he? He doesn't have a script yet he has the guts to boast..."

It sounded somewhat unreliable!

Shrugging his shoulders, the implication behind Trevor's words was clear. He was

there to judge!

"Well, there is no free lunch. It's better to stay cautious! Trevor, it's an eventful year for you!"

After darting a glance at him, Trevor went straight to the point.

"Are you trying to say that this is my unfortunate year? Indeed, there are a lot of

surprises this year, plus, the film and television industry is now in its lows, so I'm here to check it out in person! It doesn't matter whether it is an investment or cooperation, I won't recklessly sign the contrast! You came over..." Although the two of them had ventured into different industries, the support backing them up was power and wealth without having to rely on social engagements and women. The few of them would spend a lot of effort getting Wyatt agree to their invitation for a drink. He seemed to be behaving somewhat abnormally that day!

Following his gaze, Trevor side-eyed the ladies. Sure enough, the man before

him snorted without giving a definite reply.

"Hmm..."

As the two of them talked, Waverly and Victoria were engaged in a cheery chatter. She learned about Victoria's thrilling experience before hearing how Victoria felt that riding horses was fun. All at once, Waverly's interest was piqued.

The two of them shifted their gazes to look at the men. Waverly looked at Wyatt straight in the eyes before she asked, "Do you know how to ride horses?"

As soon as her voice faded away, the two men couldn't help snorting. It was as if

she had asked a dumb question!

Reality proved it to be true!

Followed by this, Trevor instructed

Levi to bring two horses over and left with Victoria. Wyatt went on two laps around the track with Waverly,

but since it was her first time riding a horse, Waverly felt as though all her internal organs were displaced from their initial positions as a result of the bumpy ride. Hanging onto Wyatt, she wailed along the way.

Wyatt, on the other hand, enjoyed how she threw herself at him. From time to time, he would speed up galloping.

Behind them trailing slowly, Victoria could not help chuckling with a light laugh.

"Look at how Mr. Johnson is pulling a prank again. Look how frightened Waverly

is. He doesn't know how to cherish women, does he?!"

Her words added to the seriousness in Trevor's eyes. Wyatt had always been the

most reserved person of them all. A prank? On a woman?

It was not like him at all!

All of a sudden, an idea struck Trevor. Did he develop feelings for the young

widow? What about Raynee?

Speaking of which, he seemed not to have seen her for a long time since he could

remember!

Were their fates the same? Would they only be able to stay together after theynoveldrama

had supported each other through ups and downs? How could their romantic

experiences be destined to be similar?

As what others would say, the magnetic effect?

At that moment, Holger, who was at a distance, gestured at him. Trevor immediately knew that Mr. Harris was already here.
