Chapter 58
Lily's blank gaze darted from the door to Xavier, who was lying on the bed.
Perhaps because Timothy had changed his clothes, the smell of alcohol on him wasn't as strong as downstairs. His gray loungewear clung to his strong physique, and his lips, set against his chiseled features, remained closed.
It had been a few days since Lily last saw him, and she noticed a layer of light stubble had grown on his chin. It wasn't particularly obvious, and it made him look quite attractive. Xavier was in a deep slumber. His chest rose and fell slightly. A faint redness rimmed his eyes. It was a sign of his severe intoxication. But she supposed it wasn't life-threatening. Exhaling deeply, Lily bent over and wiped his face with the towel. Relief washed over her as soon as she saw that he was fine.
She knew she should leave. But since he was so drunk and unlikely to sober up any sooner, she thought it wouldn't hurt to clean him up before leaving.
After wiping his face with the warm towel, she unbuttoned a few buttons of his clothes to wipe his neck and chest.
As Lily had rushed over in a panic, her mind was still in a whirl. She had wound down her car window throughout her journey in an attempt to calm herself down with the cold wind.
She had indeed composed herself, but her body was freezing. Her fingertips were nearly numb from the cold.
The moment her cool fingers landed on Xavier's chest, his lashes fluttered. He instinctively grabbed her wrist, and his eyes opened.
Lily's face came into view. She was enveloped in the warm glow of lights around her, making her look gentle and graceful.
Panic filled Lily's eyes. She hadn't expected him to wake up!
She instinctively tried to pull her hand back. But instead of escaping his grip, she was pulled against his chest.
Lily was wearing a short, tight pencil skirt and a white blouse. As soon as she was pressed against his chest, two of her shirt buttons popped open.
The softness of her skin and body instantly stimulated Xavier.
Lily's ear was now against his chin. His stubble grazed her ear, sending a mix of pain and ticklishness through her.
Snapping back to her senses, Lily struggled to get off Xavier. But he grabbed her waist with his other hand and pinned her in his embrace.
She propped her hands on his chest and glanced up at him.
The moment their gazes met, Xavier fell silent. Her teary eyes reminded him of her dazed expression, and he immediately sealed her lips with a kiss.

The cherry flavor of her lipstick wafted between them. It mingled with his overwhelming presence. It was so strong that it felt like it was about to consume her. Lily's resistance was in vain despite her constant struggles. Though she couldn't escape his hold, she didn't let him have his way so easily either.
When Xavier realized he couldn't have his way with her, he grew frustrated. He released her lips and glared at her.
"Xavier, we're getting a divorce! D-Did you trick me into coming back?" Lily questioned. Her voice was soft and raspy like a kitten.
Xavier's heart stirred. He tightened his grip on her waist as his gaze wandered over her outfit.
"It only works on those who are willing to get tricked. You came of your own free will, didn't you?"noveldrama
It wasn't really a lie. He had indeed had too much to drink.
Timothy didn't feel comfortable leaving him alone, so he called Lily with a little lie to get her back. And Xavier hadn't stopped him.
His fingers brushed against her skirt. It was a design he hadn't seen before. It hugged her round hips. The fabric was smooth and still warm from her body.
Xavier's throat bobbed. He glanced down at her voluptuous hips and long, slender legs, which were exposed. Her thighs were barely concealed.
Since she was wearing something like this in the middle of the night, she was clearly trying to seduce him!
Why was she still pretending?
What do you think?
