Chapter 1036: You Better Not Have Forgotten About Me and Your Dad
Tina and Jared walked into the backyard.
Master Tam had been waiting for a while. When he saw the two of them arrive, he put down his teacup. "You're here."
Tina glanced at the empty table. "Master, where is the item?"
Master Tam stroked his beard. "I had your grandfather find professionals to examine it.
It's now stored in a specially designed freezer."
Tina had a vague sense of what was going on.
"How much of it is there?"
"Only enough for a few people."
Jared frowned. He didn't know what was worrying Tina, but anything that concerned both her and Master Tam had to be serious.
Master Tam stood up. "Come with me. You'll understand once you see it."
The item was inside Master Tam's residence. Unexpectedly, Ian was sitting at the table.
Tina froze. "Grandfather?"
Ian looked at Tina with concern. "Tina, you shouldn't have kept this from me."
Tina pressed her lips together and decided to come clean. "Grandfather, this person was targeting me from the start. I have to deal with it myself."
Ian's expression darkened. "It doesn't matter who this Claudia is. No one is allowed to bully anyone from the Brookes family so brazenly."
This was precisely what Tina had been worried about. After much effort, she managed to calm Ian down.
While they talked, Master Tam brought out the item. A red, glass-like vial was revealed.
The moment Tina saw it, her expression changed.
Although she had suspected what Claudia was planning, she realized she had underestimated just how deranged the woman was. Claudia didn't care about ruling the world-she only cared about possessing it for herself.
Seeing the cold fury on Tina's face, Jared began to piece things together.
Ian's expression grew serious. "After your master told me about this, I had experts examine it. They confirmed it's a serum sample, but its corresponding virus type is unknown."
Tina stepped forward and took the vial. "Grandfather, don't worry. I'll bring this to the lab for analysis. If necessary, I'll notify the authorities to take action."
This, of course, was the worst-case scenario.
Master Tam nodded. He had called Tina here precisely because he feared the matter might spiral out of control. "We're counting on you for this. But be careful-this thing is too dangerous, and you need to guard against the other side."
Tina thought about what had happened to the Swanson family.
Claudia probably didn't know about the existence of this vial. Otherwise, she wouldn't have acted before Tina opened that door. Claudia had been aiming for what Tina held in her hands.
It seemed Orion Woodwind had predicted that Claudia would use such things to achieve her goals. He had prepared for this long ago.
No wonder he hadn't let Claudia make a move to rescue him-he had already secured an escape route.
Master Tam's concern was clear, but Tina was blunt. "Before she reveals her ultimate weapon, she still has one thing to do."
Before obtaining the world, Claudia needed something even more vital: immortality. Without it, she would remain a monster dependent on consuming human hearts.
No matter how powerful she became, she would always have a fatal flaw.
This was why Claudia had endured and waited for so many years.
Master Tam's brow furrowed as he sensed Tina's resolve. "Are you planning to use yourself as bait?"
This bait had been prepared specifically for Claudia.
Tina had waited long enough. Claudia wouldn't let this opportunity slip by, and neither would she.
"The fragments of the Jade Armour are in my hands," Tina said.

Ian's heart sank. He was firmly against Tina putting herself in such danger just to eliminate this threat. "Absolutely not!"
"Your current condition doesn't allow for any risks. If anything happens to you, it'll be too late for regrets."
Ian thought for a moment. "Since this thing is so dangerous, leave it with me. I'll see what this Claudia is capable of myself!"
Tina was moved. She knew her grandfather was trying to protect her. She shook her head. "Grandfather, Uncle and I are skilled enough to handle this."
Jared walked over and tightened his grip on Tina's hand. He promised Ian, "Grandfather, I'll take care of everything."noveldrama
Hearing Jared's reassurance eased Ian's mind a little.
Tina understood Ian's worries, so she tried to downplay the situation. "Grandfather, the fragments are just a catalyst. Claudia has her eyes on more than just these. Ultimately, this trap was set by me. It's only right that I end it."
Last time, in the formation, Claudia had tried to harm her child.
This time, Tina wouldn't leave any loose ends. Completely eliminating Claudia was the only way to restore peace to the world.
Master Tam understood the situation better than anyone. He patted Ian on the shoulder.
"Don't underestimate my disciple. She wouldn't have spent so much time planning this
if it weren't absolutely necessary to uproot this person entirely."
Ian knew this too, but he couldn't help worrying.
Hearing Master Tam's dismissive tone, Ian let out a disgruntled snort.
Suddenly, a phone rang.
Tina glanced at the screen and answered. Alina's voice came through immediately. "Tina, where are you?"
Tina pressed her lips together and glanced at her uncle. In her rush earlier, she had completely forgotten about her parents at the airport.
How could she explain this now?

"Is that Alina?" Ian asked from a meter away, his voice carrying over the phone.
"Father?" Alina paused on the other end. "Tina, are you at the Brookes family estate?"
Tina took the opportunity to respond. "Mom, I'm at Grandfather's place handling something. Take a cab over, and we'll talk here."
Before Alina could say more, Tina quickly hung up the phone.
She would never admit that she had genuinely forgotten about them earlier.
Half an hour later, Alina and Ruud arrived from the airport.
After greeting Ian and Master Tam, Alina pulled her daughter aside. "You better not have intentionally forgotten about your father and me."
Tina had already prepared a response. She pointed to the specially designed box on the table. "Mom, take a look at this first."
Alina hesitated, her curiosity piqued. She stepped forward and peeked inside. Her expression shifted slightly. "Where did you find this?"
Tina calmly replied, "The Swanson family."
"The real item has already been taken by Claudia."
Alina pressed her lips into a tight line. "What do you plan to do about this?"
Tina's voice was cold as ice. "Since she's determined to win, it'll be far more satisfying
to let her watch everything she's worked for disappear."
No one understood Tina better than her mother. Alina could immediately see where
her daughter's thoughts were heading.
But her worries mirrored Ian's-centered on Tina's condition.
No matter how capable Tina was, she was still pregnant.
"Let me make this clear," Alina said firmly. "Investigate however you want, but you'd better ensure my granddaughter is perfectly safe. Not even the slightest mistake is allowed."
What do you think?
