Chapter 1227
Chapter
1227 Weddings and Twins
"This little fool."
"According to typical K-drama logic," Cherise winked at him, "Colin, you should be chasing after her right now."
"No need," Colin smirked confidently, "I have a way to make her come to me."
That very night, CloudySkies, the long-missing author, unexpectedly released the long-awaited ending to his incomplete comic. In the conclusion, he mentioned a reader named Mandy.
"She warmed my heart, and only now do I realize she's been by my side all along."
"So, I want to ask this, Mandy: Will you give me a chance to warm you in return?"
"Maybe, just maybe, I can warm you for a lifetime."
The internet erupted in excitement. Who was this mysterious reader, Mandy, who prompted CloudySkies to return after so many years and confess his feelings?
"Is that even a proper confession?" Maeve sighed, lying in bed and reading the comic's final words. "I was hoping to see him and Mandy together before I go. I wonder if I'll get the chance."
"You will." Charles held her, gently stroking her hair. "Tomorrow, I'll give them a nudge. You will... you will definitely see his wedding."
"Yes," Maeve closed her eyes, "that's on my bucket list."
"And, of course, you," she added softly. "You can't follow me. Marcy still needs you."
"You have to watch her grow up for me. See her marry, have children..."
Charles gripped her hand tightly. "I promise."
A year later.
Mandy Wool, president of the Gray Group, married Colin Gray of the Lenoir family
at the most luxurious hotel in Adania.
On their wedding day, Mandy walked slowly towards Colin, dressed in a pristine white gown. She looked up and smiled at him, "When I was little, Maeve always told me to marry her brother when I grew up." noveldrama
"Later, I realized I didn't like Damien; I liked Cherise better."
"But I never imagined I'd end up marrying Maeve's brother, just as she wished, taking care of him and being taken care of by him for a lifetime."
Colin pulled her into his arms with a smile, "My dear little fan, Mandy, I finally married you."
Seated among the elders, Maeve held Marcy and exchanged a warm glance with Beckham. The wedding was grand and romantic, enveloping everyone in a joyful atmosphere.
Yet, the real matchmaker, Cherise, was absent.
Outside the operating room, Damien anxiously clenched his hands, glancing at Lucy. "Did it take this long when she gave birth to Ren and Sera?"
Lucy gave him a silent look, "Yes."
Damien closed his eyes, his face etched with worry. "If I had known, I wouldn't have agreed to a third child."
He hadn't realized how painful childbirth could be...
"It's all because of your strong genes," Lucy glared at him. "It's bad
enough you're a twin, but why did
Cherry have to give birth to twinnet
twice? What's with your family genes? Will Mandy also have twins with Colin?"
The thought made Lucy clutch her heart in fear. "Thank goodness I didn't fall for Colin. That would have been a nightmare."
Damien cast a long, somber glance at her. "Miss Staber, you overthink too much. It's not like you can have children anymore."
What do you think?
