"You want an explanation?" said the police captain and sneered. "You'll find out at the precinct.

"Take them all away!" he ordered.

Thus, the beaten and battered group were all hauled up.

They were injured. Since the police officers were being rough with them, it hurt even more.

"Where's the justice in this?"

At this point, she was sure that their family had gone through many difficulties and remained unscathed only because Dustin had been there.
