The Billionaire's Forbidden Longing

Chapter 256 Is Liliana Pregnant?

Ralph thought it was best to steer clear of Nathan to avoid catching his nonsense.

Ryan, always the stoic one, glanced at Ralph and asked, "Where are Sabrina and Allison? Why are you the only one here?"

Ralph replied, "They're on their way. Alexander got two RVs, and my mentor is coming along too!"

"We haven't even started the Apprenticeship Ceremony, and you're already calling someone your mentor. Impressive!" Ryan rolled his eyes and turned to leave. Ralph and Nathan quickly followed him back to the hotel. Ryan took them to dinner, and they started talking about the Wells family. "Landon's willing to make you the heir to the Wells family's floral legacy just to be with Sabrina. At least he's smart about it!" Ralph looked at Ryan, not entirely convinced this was Landon's idea.

"It's just fate, I guess. Honestly, Ryan, it's too early to talk about this. Sabrina is only seventeen. There are still a few years before she even thinks about marriage. How can you be so sure she'll end up with Landon?"

Nathan, his mouth full of food, nodded in agreement. "Yeah, Ryan, there are plenty of good guys out there. Sabrina's only met a few. What if she finds someone better and dumps Landon?"

Ryan frowned slightly but eventually saw their point. What mattered most was Sabrina's happiness. If she was set on Landon, there was nothing they could do. But if she found someone better, breaking up with Landon would be natural.

"Mom and dad have prepared everything. They seem to know a bit about the Wells family's history. What did you prepare?"

Ralph stood up, took a box from his suitcase, and handed it to Ryan. When Ryan opened it, even he was surprised. "Ralph, you're giving away the most valuable treasure from home as a gift? You're really something!"

Inside the sandalwood box was a purple gemstone, clear and richly colored, carved into a blooming peony.

Ralph said, "Though it's precious, it was a gift from my grandmother. I think this symbolizes my connection to the flower, making it the perfect gift for my mentor."

The Lewis family wasn't short on wealth, so Ryan didn't mind. Meanwhile, Allison and Alexander had just left Skycrest. Allison was in one car with Alexander, while Sabrina, Elsa, and Kismet were in another. Liliana and Jessa followed in a third car, with bodyguards in tow. The convoy headed to Suncrest City, a four-hour drive. They met Landon, who had just arrived from out of town.

"Landon! Landon!" Seeing Landon, Sabrina excitedly waved and ran to him, jumping up to hug him. Landon skillfully caught her and held her tight.

"Did

you miss me?" Sabrina asked proudly. Landon nodded, and Sabrina kissed him, making Jessa in the nearby car blush.

"Landon's got himself a daughter or a girlfriend?" Jessa joked.

Liliana chuckled, "You're getting more old-fashioned with age. Remember when you married Griffin, who was six years older? Besides, it's Landon's luck. Not everyone gets this."

Despite her words, Jessa was happy but worried about Liliana's pale face. "You haven't looked well this whole trip. Let Allison check on you later."

Liliana sighed, feeling carsick and nauseous. Jessa quickly called Allison.

Allison rushed over with Alexander. Seeing Liliana slumped in her seat, Allison examined her and then turned to Alexander. "Take her to the hospital, quickly!" Alexander was startled, and Jessa was scared. "Allison, what's wrong with Liliana? Is it serious?"

Allison didn't answer, focusing on treating Liliana. The car sped to the hospital. Alexander called Landon to take Elsa and Kismet to the Old Wells Manor.

At the hospital, Alexander found a doctor while Allison went into the emergency room with Liliana. The group waited anxiously outside.

Liliana's phone rang. It was Victor, checking if she had arrived in Suncrest City.

"Victor, Liliana's not feeling well. We're at the hospital," Jessa said, unsure how to explain.

Victor, alarmed, ran out of his office, leaving his colleagues puzzled. "What's wrong with Liliana, Jessa? Tell me!"

"The doctors are still checking. Don't worry, we're at the hospital." Before Jessa could finish, the emergency room door opened. Allison and the doctors came out.

"Allison, how's Liliana? What's wrong?" Alexander asked, worried. Liliana had always been frail, and her difficult childbirth with Mia had nearly cost her life.

Allison replied, "Liliana is pregnant, about six weeks along. But her health is poor, and her diet's been irregular, so she's weak and at risk of miscarriage. I've given her medication to stabilize the pregnancy, but she needs to stay in the hospital for a couple of days and then rest at Skycrest."

Alexander and Jessa were stunned, exchanging disbelieving looks.

"Allison, are you sure? Liliana was told she couldn't have more children after Mia," Jessa said, trying to stay calm.noveldrama

Allison explained, "I know. I treated her for three months. Her fallopian tubes are clear, and her ovarian issues are resolved. She even took a month of medication to strengthen her body. So, it's normal for her to be pregnant."

Jessa nearly collapsed, but Alexander helped her to a seat. She noticed the phone in her hand, still connected to Victor.

"Victor," Alexander called.

Victor said, "Give the phone to Allison. I have questions." Alexander put the call on speaker. "Allison, did you check the implantation site? Where is it?"

Allison looked at the report. "Normal implantation, posterior placenta, no abnormalities. Victor, this pregnancy is precious. Liliana needs careful care and bed rest for the first three months."

"If it endangers Liliana's health, we can consider terminating the pregnancy," Victor's voice came through, filled with concern.
