Secrets Of The Neglected Wife

Chapter 884

Chapter 884:

The serum, coupled with Allison’s firm words, quickly brought her under control.

Outside, more guards poured in, combing the area for Allison.

“Check everywhere! Leave no spot unsearched!” one of them barked, his voice loud and commanding. “There must be something wrong here!”

Some pressed their faces to the one-way mirror, trying to see inside.

They were dangerously close.

If the guards chose to step inside, Allison knew that she would be caught.

She stayed perfectly still, holding her breath as her eyes stayed fixed on their every move.

Just as they were about to enter, a loud alarm erupted, piercing the tense silence. “Fire in the specimen room! Immediate assistance required!” blared the alert.

The guards, now distracted, abandoned their search and sprinted toward the specimen room.

Kellan’s steady voice crackled in her earpiece. “Allison, I set off the fire alarm. The way’s clear. Move now.”

Allison let out a shaky breath, her shoulders relaxing.

Allison steadied Lilian and guided her to the keypad door. Without wasting time, she punched in the code — 001001. The door unlocked with a sharp beep, and Kellan stood waiting on the other side. His face was tense with worry as he asked, “Allison, are you all right?”

“I’m fine, but Lilian’s out cold,” she said, her voice steady as she passed Lilian into the care of Kellan’s team. “Get her to the car immediately,” she ordered, her tone leaving no room for argument.

If all went as expected, Verruckt would soon be deep in negotiations with the mayor.

Allison knew that she couldn’t afford to lose a single second.

Just then, three security guards on patrol emerged from behind the parking lot. “Stop right there!”

The guards spotted Allison and Kellan. Without hesitation, they moved closer, blocking their path. “Where do you think you’re going?”

In the dim light, Allison and Kellan shared a quick look.

They didn’t need to speak; their plan was clear. If the guards uncovered the truth, there would be no avoiding a fight.

Without wasting a second, Kellan knocked Lilian out cold. He held her up in such a way that she appeared to still be upright.

Allison, perfectly in sync, adjusted her black-framed glasses — the ones she had used before — and stepped forward confidently.noveldrama

“One of our guests has low blood sugar,” she said evenly, tapping the ID badge on her lab coat for emphasis. “We’re ensuring she gets to the hospital without any trouble.”

The guard squinted at her, doubt clouding his face. “Which lab do you work for?”
