The Sway and Slide of Love

Chapter 581

After all, the amount of effort Dylan had put in over the years was something no one else could fully comprehend. At least from what Noelle had seen, she knew how difficult his journey had been.

But now, it was all being easily destroyed because of her.

So, she would have completely understood if Dylan had chosen to sacrifice her. In fact, she might have even expected it, and that was precisely why she found his response so surprising this was the first time she had been so firmly chosen.

She unconsciously clenched her teeth as she looked at the man in front of her. "You don't want to?" Dylan asked her.

Noelle actually laughed out loud at the question. Then, she quickly lowered her eyes, forcing back the tears in them before looking up at Dylan again.

"I do. This kind of life isn't hard at all. You don't know this, but ever since I was a child, I've dreamed of having a home of my own. It doesn't need to be big or luxurious, and it certainly didn't need hired help or a nanny.

"As long as I have my kids and someone who truly cares for me—that's enough. That's the kind of life I've always wanted."noveldrama

After Noelle finished speaking, Dylan smiled softly. Then, he leaned down and gently pressed his lips to her forehead.

"Then, let's build that home together," he said.

Meanwhile, in Coppersville. It was late at night, but Hendrix's office was still brightly lit. He sat expressionlessly, staring at the data in front of him. The ashtray beside him was overflowing.

He hadn't slept for nearly two days, but he didn't feel the slightest bit of fatigue.

Soon, a call came in, informing him that Dyno Corporation's cash flow wouldn't last much longer. Once the news broke tomorrow, the company would be on the brink of collapse.

Hendrix's lips curled in satisfaction, though it was barely imperceptible-just like his response. He responded with a simple "okay" before hanging up.

Now, all he had to do was wait for Dylan to call him.

Three years of hard work, along with the massive amount of capital Dylan had invested early on, were about to go down the drain.

Hendrix knew that if Dylan lost this round, the entire Pritchett family would be left bankrupt. Though it wasn't like they had much to begin with anyway.

Dylan should have come to him days ago. Hendrix had been waiting, even preparing the terms he would offer. But Dylan had been more composed than he expected.

Still, what did it matter? The outcome wouldn't change.

Though it was late, Hendrix knew Dylan was probably still awake. After all, there was no way he would be able to sleep when his company was in dire trouble.

But after waiting for a while, Hendrix still didn't receive the call he was expecting. He couldn't help but check his phone to see if there was an issue with it. It was then that a photo notification popped upon his screen.

Without thinking, Hendrix opened it. It was a screenshot of a social media post. The screenshot showed an ordinary photo, but what made it extraordinary was the people in it.

en

It was Dylan and Rosie. He was sitting on a chair, gently drying Rosie's hair. And at the top of the screenshot, the poster's name was displayed-Noelle Swanson.
