Chapter 582
Seline was the one who sent Hendrix the screenshot. She didn't add any commentary—just a simple screenshot. But the message she was conveying couldn't be any clearer. She wanted to tell him that he was out of the game.
Hendrix stared at the screenshot expressionlessly for a moment before deleting it and promptly blocking Seline. Then, he turned his attention back to the computer screen. The data was still there, but he couldn't focus on a single number.
Even though he had deleted the screenshot from his phone, he still felt as if it had been burned into his mind. He pressed his lips into a thin line as he slowly balled his hands into fists.
After a while, he finally couldn't take it anymore. He shot up from his seat and grabbed his car keys before walking out. He drove fast, though he didn't really know where he was going.
Eventually, he stopped in front of a new construction site. He had bought this plot of land a year ago. Construction had only started a few months ago because it had taken him half a year just to finalize the design.
In fact, he had made another revision not that long ago. Knowing that Rosie loved carousels, he had instructed the team to add one to the front yard. On the second floor, there was a dedicated art studio-a space he had reserved for Noelle.
Hendrix owned plenty of properties. But he knew that if Noelle ever came back, she wouldn't want to live in their old villa, and living in an ordinary apartment would be beneath her. So, he wanted to build a house just for her.
He had even planned to name the house after her. He had thought it all through, down to the terms he would offer Dylan.
There was no way he would let them continue on like this, nor would he allow Noelle to have lingering feelings for Dylan. And for that to happen, he needed Dylan to push her away himself.
Hendrix refused to believe that, under these circumstances, they could still stay together. But now, the situation seemed to be deviating from what he had anticipated.
He was surprised to learn that Dylan was not going to do anything. Did he not realize his company was on the brink of collapse? He had to know but just hadn't taken the actions Hendrix had expected him to.
Hendrix stood there, staring at the half-built structure for a while before turning away.
As soon as he got back into his car, he made a call.
"Mom, can you do something for me?"
Noelle was woken up by the sound of knocking.
Rosie was sleeping peacefully in her arms, but the moment the doorbell rang, she shot up from the bed, like a sensor triggered into action-without even needing a second to gather herself.
Still, she didn't rush out right away. Instead, she listened carefully for a moment, and only after confirming she hadn't misheard did she turn to Noelle and say, "Mommy, someone's at the door."
"Yeah, I know." Noelle got out of the bed. "Go brush your teeth. I'll get the door."
"I want to go with you." Rosie clung to her hand, unwilling to let go.noveldrama
Noelle didn't refuse. But when she saw who was at the door, her expression froze.
"Is Dylan here?" Leah asked, her expression grim and her voice tense.
It had been a long time since Noelle had last seen her. She hadn't

It took Noelle a moment to process Leah's question before she nodded, then shook her head.
What do you think?
